2019 is finally behind us as our lab said goodbye to 2019 and welcomed 2020 together. This past year we completed various projects, classes, and welcomed 4 new students to the ELL.

2020 International Garden Festival Competition Submission

We are very excited to share that our Lab in collaboration with SoomeenHahm Design Ltd, and KOH SX Studio Inc.

Augmented Grounds is a landscape installation project proposed for the 2020 International Garden Festival which will be held at the Redford Gardens in the Gaspesie region of Quebec, Canada. The proposal considers the metissage of history and culture in the region, using generative algorithmic design methods to provide a playful and spatial experience.

교과목 개요

단지설계는 대상지와 주변 지역의 분석을 통해 적절한 토지활용방안을 도출하여 시설과 공간을 계획하고, 새로운 개발 프로젝트의 설계목표에 부합하는 구성 요소를 부지에 적절히 배치하는 과정을 탐구하는 서울대학교 환경대학원의 설계스튜디오 수업이다. 이번 학기 단지설계의 대상지는 안양시 만안구 석수동 경인교육대학교 캠퍼스에 인접한 유휴부지로, 경인교대와의 협력으로 테마가 있는 공원을 조성하여 수도권 명소로 개발하려는 안양시의 계획과 연계하여 진행되었다. 수업의 목표는 대상지의 지형적 특성과 잠재력을 고려한 공원설계안을 제안하는 것으로, 드론 측량으로 작성된 대상지 현황 3D 파일을 출발점으로 지형과 배수의 기본개념을 적용하고 조경분야에서 BIM을 활용하는 설계방법을 습득하는 과정으로 진행하였다. 학생들은 3개팀을 구성하여 3개의 특색있는 공원을 제안하였고, 수업의 결과물은 안양시에서 진행중인 경인교대 유휴부지 개발계획에 반영되어 지역발전에 기여하게 될 예정이다.
